The events of Sonic 06 never happened…aaand then Generations turned around and included an 06 level, which was Crisis City.

The Rival games give Silver an alternate backstory, if I remember correctly. He's still from the future but he doesn't remember Blaze or the events of 06.

According to the handy dandy History of Sonic book, Silver has been compared to Trunks from DBZ. This has nothing to do with anything, I just thought it was amusing for some reason.

Oh I see! XD It’s a damn shame when a game has to erase it’s own plot! Like, what was the point? ;; Why make us go through all the mach speed levels? So yeah, that game never happened except when it was mentioned in Sonic Generations…as canon??? @___@

And let's extend this further. If the events of Sonic '06 never happened, then wouldn't it mean that Silver doesn't exist. (Unless I'm missing some other game where he appears as himself and not in the the storybook games like Black Knight)
I thought that too, but then again he would just exist in a future that’s bright and everyone is happy! And Blaze would be with him??? Right? @@
And Silver appears in the Sonic Rival games, Sonic Colors, and Sonic Generations, and other party games.

In Sonic Rush, which came out in 2005 before 06, Blaze was from a different dimension as well - the same one in Rush Adventure - so who knows. Sonic 06 is just a WTF.
